Aareyionna’s career began at 18 when she acquired a CNA certificate and started working in a nursing home. As a result of this experience, her passion for nursing led to her enrollment in an accelerated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) program. Although challenging, she enthusiastically embraces the demanding schedule of full-day clinicals and daily classes.
Q: What first sparked your interest in nursing, and can you share your journey so far?
Aareyionna: I fell in love with nursing after working in a nursing home after getting my CNA certification at 18. I started my LVM program in January, and it’s an intensive course requiring significant commitment, but I love it.
Q: How do you envision your nursing career in the next 5-10 years?
Aareyionna: My ultimate goal is to become a family care Nurse Practitioner, and I plan to apply for RN Programs immediately after completing my LVN.

Q: How do you manage & balance of your academic commitments, career & home life?
Aareyionna: As a single mom and full-time student, I need to stay organized and mentally strong. For me, it comes down to meal prepping and always getting a good night’s sleep. Aareyionna: The biggest challenge is perseverance. The CAP Hub can provide support to all students, even those who need a second chance.

Aareyionna: Life happens. Sometimes people have to leave a program, or sometimes a test doesn’t go the way you want it to. The CAP Hub supports all healthcare students, including those who leave and return to a nursing program.

Aareyionna: I’d love to see resources for other essential exams, like the NCLEX, and more blog topics on getting into nursing school, organization tips, and stress management.
