RN-ICU Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide the highest degree of quality care and services to our residents in accordance to the community policies, federal, state and local standards
- Administer and document medication
- Facilitate care plans as dictated by residents' medical professionals
- Manage the activities of individual caregivers at times
- Respect and encourage the independence, dignity, and confidentiality of the residents
- Familiarize with emergency equipment and procedures
- Attend all required trainings, in-service, and staff meetings
- Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the facility or community
- Perform other CNA duties as assigned
Education/Skills/Qualifications
- Registered Nurse or state-specific licensed nurse credential
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum of six (6) months experience working in a facility and unit related to nurse credential
- Ability to make choices, decisions and act in the resident's best interest
- Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understanding
- Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
